A professional jack of all trades, designer, creative thinker, builder, technology evangelist, and consummate engager. I take concepts to completion for projects of all shapes and sizes; from a CNC cut chair, fire urns, and pallet gardens; to prefabricated outdoor kitchens, water features, fire pits, and entry gates; to backyards, pools, event spaces, and habitat restorations; to mixed use developments, subdivisions, and campus design.
I want to inspire people through the design process and create product offerings that excite and wow people.
Flying my drone for a quick aerial picture, video, or 3D capture always makes my day. My drone has revolutionized my product deliverables for conceptual plans, allowing for an immersive customer experience. It's cool being able to utilize 3D capture and modeling of a project site to help clients conceptualize designs better.
I dove headfirst into the world of DIY automotive repair (aka Google and YouTube University). I have been slowly fixing up my first car, a 2004 Subaru WRX, after it had sat for five years. It's a work in progress, as it currently sits idle again after a third cracked radiator. I have fantastic aspirations for a future engine swap and transforming it into a true rally car. The interior is ripped out; there is no A/C or heat, and my radio is a Bluetooth speaker connected to my phone. Yes, it's rough. Yes, it's a work in progress. Yes, I love it, and yes, I can talk about it all day.
I spent the better part of the COVID pandemic designing and managing the rebuild of my home after a significant flood and handling the resulting insurance claim. More recently, I redesigned and refinished our primary bathroom and have been enjoying having the time to knock out many home improvement projects, both large and small. As these projects wrap up, I'm looking forward to finishing my woodshop/garage setup so I can start refinishing the MCM furniture I purchased at auction and listing it for sale. This will help me afford my next hobbies: welding, 3D printing, and CNC machining!
